Grasshopper, our e-commerce product, was due for a visual overhaul—its outdated design was holding back its potential in a competitive market. We set out to create a more modern, consistent brand identity that would not only catch the eye but also resonate with our target audience and influence customer decisions. I led the rebranding effort from initial concept through final execution, translating abstract ideas into tangible, polished designs. By staying closely involved throughout the process, I ensured a smooth rollout across all touchpoints—refining visuals as needed and solving issues in real time. The new branding was implemented across our web platforms, product UI, and a range of live campaigns, with demand-generation assets tailored to fit each marketing channel. This strategic refresh elevated Grasshopper’s presence in the e-commerce space, making a strong and lasting impression on customers at every stage of their journey.
Concept Development
Explored a rebrand concept that conveyed a modern product through thoughtful visual association, using mock-ups with the latest devices to seamlessly integrate the brand into the product experience. Refined the graphic language, logo, and typeface to create a cohesive visual identity, while exploring the system in real-world campaigns to define how devices and graphic elements interact. Established best practices for logo placement and strategically applied the color palette to ensure consistency and clarity across all touchpoints.
Concept Execution
Designed the inaugural campaign for market introduction, bringing animation to life through careful integration with devices, compelling calls to action (CTA), impactful copy, and cohesive graphic elements.
The UI/UX designer incorporated the new brand elements into a fresh web experience, enhancing the overall user interface and experience.

Storyboard Design
As the designer for the storyboards, I introduced Grasshopper’s rebrand to the market, featuring innovative elements like integrated sound waves throughout the video. With only three days to complete the project, the urgency highlighted its importance. The storyboard was crucial in reintroducing the product and setting the animation standard for the brand.
The video brought the Grasshopper rebrand to life, using a day-in-the-life format to tell the story of four tradespeople. It started with unique footage of each person at the beginning of their day, transitioned smoothly to showcase key UI features, and wrapped up with a tradesman finishing his day. This strategic storytelling effectively communicated the brand’s evolution and amplified its impact through multichannel marketing and strategic placements in connected TV ads. The storyboard demonstrated the project’s creativity, speed, and effectiveness in conveying the essence of the Grasshopper rebrand across various media channels.
